What if I told you Elvis was alive. That he had in fact switched places with an impersonator years before his supposed death and never got the chance to switch back? You would think I was crazy right? Well one of my friends sent me a link to a movie that is about that very scenario…..not only that but Elvis is teamed up with somebody who thinks he’s JFK and they have to fight off some mummy guy who has decided to take over their nursing home. The guy who sent me this link is a total bruce campbell fanatic…..can’t count the number of times he’s tried to convince me to watch Evil Dead and all it’s various sequels. Anyhow this actually looks like it might be pretty funny! Or maybe that’s just my absurd sense of humor. You can find more info at: http://www.bubbahotep.com/
Oh, and a great big silly undead welcome to
So after an entire weekend of blah, it’s over. I still have a lingering headache, but I’m not entirely sure I didn’t have that before I got sick so it’s possibly unrelated. It’s still rainy and gross outside but I don’t really care….in fact I prefer it rainy and gross because it means our air-conditioning at home is actually effective. It’s funny I spend the entire day freezing my butt off at work and then get home and have to strip down to shorts and a t-shirt because it’s so hot. We only have two vents that are supposed to somehow cool the entire house. Needless to say, it doesn’t work. Head over feet just came on the radio…..it’s still a very strange sensation when I hear that song…..it brings back a lot of high school memories that I still haven’t decided how I feel about. It’s completely wierd. There are a few songs that do that, associated with various stages in my life. There’s an old one hit wonder country song that was popular when I was in the sixth grade that when I hear it I can actually SMELL roasting marshmallows and hot dogs and other camp smells, it’s amazing how strongly the association with that song is to the time I went camping with my then best friend Jamie. Like I said, wierd. I wonder if other people do that? On a totally different subject I was telling seth’s mom this morning that I was disappointed because six flags is going to be closed the weekend that seth and i are going to be in ft. worth. I’ve been bragging forever how much better six flags is than the amusement parks down here. She told me I wouldn’t have succeeded in convincing him of that fact even if it had been open (they have some wierd anti-texas sentiment) and I told her that it wasn’t unfounded bragging. Most of the amusement parks around here only have two or three decent roller coasters. Six flags has five that I LOVE, one that I’m too chicken too ride thus far but that I’m sure is way cool, another one that everybody else seems to like but that I think is pointless, and two or three others besides. Plus they have other rides and shows for when you need a break from the rides. Disney seems to be mainly about the atmosphere, it’s really not very ride-centric. Busch Gardens is an elaborate zoo with a few rides thrown in, Universal Studios is fun but doesn’t have any truly serious rides and only a few that are fun and Universal Islands of Adventure only has three good roller coasters, and in reality I can only remember two of them but I’m assuming there must have been one more and even if there wasn’t the second one that I actually remember is two coasters in one. Sowhile Florida may be the amusement park capital of the world, they’re still mediocre amusement parks compared to Six Flags. End of story, there’s no room for argument. But anyhow I’m very annoyed that I have no opportunity to PROVE that. I’m going to have to drag seth back sometime in the summer just so we can go to six flags. I talked to Jessica the other day and she said that she had to get special permission to be able to take time off work that close to thanksgiving, but she’s working on it and thus far feedback seems positive. That’s pretty much all the news that’s worth reporting right now, and a whole bunch of news that probably WASN’T worth reporting, but I don’t think I made an entry yesterday so just deal with it. 😉 🙂 :p
So the throat scratchiness is all but gone but I’ve had a pounding headache all day……I’ve taked five aleve and two advil and still no success getting rid of it. I tried not eating any sugar, that didn’t work, so then I tried eating sugar…no relief. I tried wearing glasses instead of contacts, nothing….then I tried wearing new contacts since the pair i had in was kind of old. Still nothing. I’ve had a light meal and a heavy meal. I’ve tried sleeping, napping and just staying awake. Nothing has helped. Anyhow, that’s enough whining about that. My mint is growing very well…..I think that’s thanks to all the rain. In addition my dog is in a ridiculous mood. He’s been bouncing around all day, which has been slightly annoying but he’s so cute I can’t really get mad. I guess the sum of it is that it’s been yet another blah day. blah.
Tody has been very boring. My throat’s all scratchy and I can’t seem to stay awake for more than two hours at a time and I just feel generally blah. I didn’t go to work today so the entire time I’ve been awake…which hasn’t been much of the day….I’ve been playing harvest moon on playstation or looking up information about harvest moon on the internet. Seth brought me a cute little stuffed lion that he got from Toy’s ‘R Us where he and Tony waited while Tire Kingdom, which is right next door to Toys ‘R Us, replaced seth’s tires. It’s been very rainy lately and he’s finally decided to something about the fact that the tires were so bare they would barely grip when taking off from a stop light. Tonight is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year…..it’s the beginning of the high holy days which end with Yom Kippur. For dinner tonight we get some yummy food, which typifies most of the jewish holidays. There’s some pastry thing which I’ve actually never had before as seth’s mom seldom buys it….so seldom seth doesn’t even know what it is or have anything more than a vague memory of it…that goes along with this holiday and you have to eat apples dipped in honey so that you’ll have a sweet new year or something like that. I’m too tired to think about the concept right now but after dinner I might write more about it. Seth’s mom has been cooking for the past two days so it should be good. Anyhow I’m all gross since I’ve been sleeping all day so I have to go shower before I go to dinner so I guess that’s all for now.
I have two favorite colors depending on my mood so I did it twice just to see the difference it makes

the second guy’s name sounds familiar…I’ll have to rewatch the movie, I think he’s the human guy who’s all ticked off at Aragorn…but the first guy I’ve never heard of.
Rachel, in response to questions about the relationship between her and Joey, ie, “what is this”… “Well, we kissed for ten minutes and now we’re talking to our friends about it, so I guess it’s the sixth grade” God I love that show. Anyhow, all is boring here. i am trying not to think about the fact that I am eating Ramen noodles since my ever so lovely boyfriend decided once again to change our plans at the last minute because he got hung up hanging out at his friend’s house. am also trying to avoid thinking of how much this annoys me. to facilitate this avoidance I am off to read harry potter fanfiction and ignore the real world. great episode of friends tonight though, this season looks promising. Very nasty commercial for fear factor though in the second commercial break….a girl eating a spider looking bug thing…yuck.
okay….I told you my mood was dorky….I just noticed that my dorky cat icon has harry potter glasses…..too cool.
